A destination like Ubud is a beautiful place to treat yourself with a stay at a luxury resort. Because, although you’re getting 5 star accommodation, the prices are much less than it would be in the western world. If you don’t want to pass up majestic infinity pools overlooking the vast green jungle, amazing hospitality, rich ripe fruit, and endless options to relax and pamper yourself, dive into the list below!




More Affordable Luxury Villas


You can find a lot of amazing resort villas in Bali for less than $200 per night if you book in advance. I will start with listing some of the more budget friendly ones I found but still offer that luxury feel. Looking at reviews on google, and customer engagement on Instagram, I curated this list of some pretty amazing spots that offer the immense jungle views, overflowing infinity pools and amazing hospitality.



1. Villa Kayu Lama $$



This resort is located in the countryside of an artisan village. It is at a great location as it is only 15 minutes drive to Monkey Forest and center of Ubud, and about an hour from the International Airport of Ngurah.


Located right in front of a bright green rice field, this resort is not too big not too small and offers many services including Spa and Laundry. Perfect for honeymooners who just want a private space to enjoy each other. A peaceful relaxing time is almost guaranteed at this stay.

2. Sebatu Sanctuary Eco Resort $$



Sebatu Sanctuary Eco Resort is located in Sebatu village which is further south of Ubud. It is an eco-resort that is about 30 minutes from the Ubud monkey forest and Ubud center. Although a bit further from the center, you will just fine enjoying the unique style villas, amenities and delicious restaurant the resort has to offer. They are known for their Japanese, colonial, African tent, and bamboo style villas. Some look like you just came out of a decked out tree house! There is also many things to do nearby. Such as waterfalls, springs, rice terraces, and exploring the rivers and jungles nearby.


Room: Japanese, colonial, African tent, and bamboo style villas. The bamboo house would be an epic stay.






3. Tejaprana Resort and Spa $



Tejaprana Resort & Spa is located 4 kilometers from the lively center of Ubud. Surrounding vast jungles is a river valley called Petanu in Tegallalang. Their site preaches that this resort will be the place to “clear your mind and spirit”. It’s the perfect size to feel like it’s just you and your loved one there, free to swim, eat and relax as much as you please. All purposely facing east so you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise.


Rooms: Contains 28 cozy villas with options of terrace view, valley view, and 2 bedroom villas. You will be blessed with your own gazebo, infinity pool, and outdoor stone tub in your room.







4. Alaya Resort Ubud $$



About a 6 minute walk to Ubud monkey forest and a 5 minute drive to Ubud central. Alaya is located at the center of all the action and near the best things to do and see in Ubud. If you admire art and history, this resort features local artwork and is not too far from Blanco Museum. It also packs classy delicious restaurants, two peaceful pools, an Indonesian wellness center and more.

5. GK Bali Resort $$




Located in the Sebatu village, filled with history and lush scenery. About 30 min drive to central, a bit farther yes but GK has a lot of great reviews and is a much cheaper option if you don’t care too much about being super close to central. It is a picturesque hideaway, north from Ubud. If looking for something more peaceful to enjoy in your villa with your significant other, this would be a great place for you.

5 locations to SPLURGE on


Looking to splurge a little more? Good! You deserve it. If you’re looking for something special and want to feel like you’re in luxury, these are the resorts for you. Based on my research and reviews on instagram, I found these to be some of the best options for that special occasion, baecation, honeymoon, bestie trip or family vacation.



6. Natya Resort Ubud $$$



The resort is located in a pristine valley, only a 15-minute transfer to the hub of Ubud town. Natya offers views of the jungles and rice terraces, infinity pools, and a delicious restaurant. Natya offers only 24 private different villas to choose from. You can have all sorts of fun with your significant other or friends as all you see from your private infinity pool is the riverbanks, the vast jungle and the sounds of exotic birds in the near distance.


It is truly a romantic getaway, the rooms are so well furnished and spacious, the staff takes care of your every need so you will feel like you can let go and truly bask in every moment. It is honestly a perfect destination for that peaceful escape you were looking for.

7. The Kayon Jungle Resort $$$



The perfect way to indulge in nature with friends, family or your lover. This sanctuary of tropical indulgence is located within the Bersala village just 25 minutes from the cultural heart of Ubud. This resort offers a nearby waterfall, a three level terraced swimming pool, inspired by Ubud’s Tegalalang Rice Terrace and gorgeous spacious villas with large private infinity pools. This resort has 20 units featured with large bedroom, living space, ensuite bathroom with bathtub and balcony overlooking the jungle and valley view.

8. Hanging gardens of Bali $$$$



I found this beautiful resort through many instagram reels. People raving that they absolutely loved this place. Also not too far from the Ubud hub, this luxury Feng Shui-styled resort is 13 km from the Neka Art Museum and 19 km from water temple Gardens Of Bali. Just like most resorts in Bali this one overlooks the jungle, a river, and offers divine villas with hand crafted furniture. What's cool about this resort is they completely deck out for Christmas and turn it into an Enchanting Wonderland and hire a world class chef.

9. The Viceroy -$$$$



Viceroy is located 7 km from the Ubud Monkey Forest, 3 km from the iconic Ubud Palace and 4 km from the Museum of Art called Agung Rai. One of the more pricier out of the list, the reason for this is because you will feel like a trillion bucks. This seems to be a tourist favorite and the luxury spot for a lot of returning guests. They not only offer world class views, but their sophisticated spacious villas, private indoor or outdoor heated plunge pools, gym, and restaurants are top notch. Especially with their new restaurant, The Aperitif, they really deliver, having high ratings on the overall quality of the food.

10. Padma Resort Ubud $$$



Located north of Ubud and too far from the central hub. The highly reviewed and posted resort on Instagram, Padma Resort is truly a beautiful luxurious place to stay if you want to feel like a million bucks but not necessarily spend it. This 5 star expansive resort has 149 rooms to choose from. The pictures say enough. The large double flowing infinity infinity pools, first class spa, fine dining will blow your mind. They also offer the coolest looking bamboo nest for special events.
